The DOD 8400 is Matthews’ new small and large character ink-jet printer, perfect for in-line marking of one to five lines, at speeds up to 780 fpm. Designed to achieve more uniform, higher-quality marks at faster speeds, the 8400 is certain to be our most reliable system to date.
Available with a wide selection of printheads, the 8400 offers flexible & simple operation. All 8000 series printheads are enhanced with a revolutionary, slim-line enclosure that facilitates easier installation and a higher industrial protection rating. Our proven Drop-on-Demand™ technology has achieved reliable operation, even during extended down time, while providing exceptional performance.
Recommended for both porous and non-porous substrates, the DOD 8400 provides high quality, reliable printing on many materials including plastics, metals, packaging, wood, building materials and galvanized steel, with dye or pigmented ink formulations.
